MARJORAM

Marjoram is a native herb to Cyprus and southern Turkey. The Greeks and Romans knew it as a symbol of happiness. Marjoram is easily mistaken for the similar herb, oregano. The aromatic marjoram leaves are used, either green or dried, for cooking and has many medicinal uses. Marjoram is known to help relieve spasms of the digestive system, including those associated with the female menstrual cycle. It is also used as a sedative and is a potent anti-oxidant.
